OmG! First time I stop here and I was impressed with how flavorful the food is the service is also great they let you try the food before you order and the garlic naan was by far the best I ever had.
We had heard about an Indian restaurant in Baldwin, so we checked it out when we were in the area. It's inside the convenience store/truck stop, and not well advertised. Go in the front entrance of the convenience store (entrance facing the gas pumps), and look left, and there you are. We were pleased with the flavors and size of the servings, and had small samples of a couple of selections since we aren't educated on Indian cuisine. Other options include Mexican or chicken. Seved on disposable plates at simple (but clean) tables. We took enough home for another lunch. We'll be back!!
It’s has a perfect typical Indian Dhaba vibe. Food is very close to the home cooked style. Super delicious and the best part is they can customize it to the traditional pallet upon request. Must try are Dal Makhani, Butter chicken, Chicken Karahi, mushroom matar, paneer kadhai
Daal Makhani was bangin! Best I've had outside of India itself. Lentils had a super fresh flavor. In the gas station food court! Limited signage outside. Clean eating area for a gas station! And, affordable. Food was clean and quick... only about a 10 min wait. Definitely worth a quick stop if you're passing by!
Don't pass up the opportunity to eat here, made fresh to order and excellent flavor. Even if it's out of your wheel house as far as ethnic food, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back.
This is a delicious gem hidden in plain sight in a truck stop in Baldwin, WI. Who would have thought? The first time my husband and I visited back in March, we had the daal makhani, which is delicious, and worth the trip right there. We also had goat curry, which is decidedly homestyle (bone-in meat). The meat was a little skimpy, but the gravy was tasty. The basmati rice was nicely seasoned, and you get one container of rice per entree. The garlic naan is fresh and tasty. We also had chicken pakora, aka Indian chicken nuggets. Again, delicious, and a large serving, and you get two different chutneys for dipping. We visited again recently and the food was just as delicious as the first time. They have lots of excellent vegetarian options. If you want ambience, this isn’t the place, but if you want good food and plenty of it, make the drive to Baldwin!
Great food with decent rates. We ordered Paranthas for breakfast and the size was huge, very filling. Daal fry, Rajma and Pakoras are also good. Happy to find this place in the outskirts. Wide vegetarian selection available and the staff is friendly and kind. The place is cleaner as compared to other gas station restaurants.
Sitting at a gas station eating the best Indian food you can find around here. No need to go to the cities, this is even better and we tried a few things . Excited to dig into these leftovers!!
